iResQ, an iPhone repair site has released images of what they claim to be the new front facia of the upcoming fourth-generation iPhone. As you can see from the image, the cover is slightly taller than the current iPhone 3GS and it also has a reflective surface just above the earpiece. iResQ has made no comment on what the reflective surface may be used for.

As of today, AT&T will allow streaming video content over its 3G network using Sling Media's 'SlingPlayer Mobile' app.

Until today, AT&T refused to allow streaming video over its network due to concerns that it would cause capcity issues and would affect other users. If you wanted to use the SlingPlayer Mobile app previously you could only do so using a wifi connection.

AT&T released a press statement taking the opportunity to publicize its willingness to work with developers on bandwidth-intensive mobile applications in order to create the best possible experience for users.

Apple have released an update for both iPhone and iPod Touch. The update fixes several bugs as well as fixing some security issues.

Apple state the following:

This update for the iPhone and iPod touch contains bug fixes and improvements, including the following:

Improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS
Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some instances
Fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard

To update your iPhone or iPod Touch connect it to your computer and launch iTunes.

As the rivalry continues to heat up between Apple and Google, Steve Jobs has apparently held a town hall meeting late last week with Apple employees confirming the competition between the two companies by saying:

"We did not enter the search business, they entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won't let them"

Other things mentioned included:

Apple will deliver aggressive updates to iPhone that Android/Google won't be able to keep up with.

Next iPhone coming is an A+ update

iPad is up there with the iPhone and Mac as the most important products Jobs has been a part of

New Macs for 2010 are going to take Apple to the next level

So it looks like we could all be in for quite a special year if the above are true, with many things to look forward to from Apple.
